Race and Achievements Report
Saturday 2nd December marked the Gwent Cross Country League in Bristol’s very own Blaise Castle! The mysterious fog and minus temperatures weren’t enough to drive away the hardy members old and new in our midst – well done all, a fantastic atmosphere (even if it did take a while and several hot drinks to warm back up afterwards…):
Santas, elves, and rogue Christmas trees were out running in full force on Wednesday 13th December for our annual Christmas Lights run, buffet and quiz! Great job on the fundraising, and even more on the ostentatious baubles:
_
…and if those Christmas lights weren’t enough, the club run on Wednesday 20th December ventured out to find even more:
Things were turning pretty blustery at the 4th Western Prom 5 miler on Thursday 21st December – well done to all those who braved the cold and raced for Great Western Runners – some fantastic results.
ADMF Good News
The Arthur Dagger Memorial Fund (ADMF) was created by Great Western Runners in memory of one of our most treasured club members Arthur Dagger. ADMF’s mission is to provide financial support for young, talented athletes.
Thank you to all those who donated prizes and bought raffle tickets at the Christmas Lights Raffle in December – we raised £240 for ADMF – a wonderful contribution!
