3 Good Reasons to Run XC
(Cross Country)

1. Mud is good for the skin
2. XC exercises the heart better than sex does
3. The Club pays the entry fees
So come on, make the XC managers happy and give it a go.

Avon & Somerset Cross-Country Championships
Sunday 5th January 2003, UWE/Purdown, Bristol

The original venue for the event Bath University, is not available and I am now organising the event with the support of the Club, which will take place on Purdown (the land next to the M32 with the radio tower on it) on Sunday 5th January 2003. Parking and changing will be at the University of the West of England.

Obviously, I will need people to help with various tasks on the day and so am asking for volunteers. I won't go into too much detail here but the jobs will range from putting signs out for directions to the car park and course, setting up and taking down the course, marshalling, timekeeping and finish control, results, starter, chief course marshall, etc.

The history of the event this year is that if we hadn't stepped in to put it on then it just wouldn't have been on at all. In light of this I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who intends to run could also try and spare some time to help before and/or after their event if needed.

As I am also entries secretary and I'll put a sign up sheet up at the Club. Entries need to be in by Monday 23rd December.
